Watermelonated T Shirt

This shirt is in honor of Juneteenth and the abundant benefits watermelon provides for people with melanin and deeper skin tones.

In the last 1860s after African Americans were emancipated, growing and selling watermelon was one way African Americans created economic self-sufficiency. Jealousy turned this neurotransmitting "liquid gold" food into an anti-Black watermelon stereotype. To this day, some people of the diaspora refuse to be caught eating watermelon in public because of the negative connotations and yet it is so healing and rewarding for anyone to consume.

I personally REFUSE to allow any negative trope to dictate my health and happiness and so the "Watermelonated " T Shirt was developed.

The Deets

This classic tee is very comfortable and will last you a long time. The Gildan 980 is made of thick cotton with a high stitch density. With a tubular construction, it's less fitted than other t-shirt models.
